Dear Academia Iria Flavia,
Hello, How are you?
I am writing to tell you how much I enjoyed the Camino. From beginning to end it was a great adventure. The scenery was spectacular and the weather wonderful.
The group made friends immediately, all different ages and personalities. Cristina our Guide was excellent, a really good companion, friendly and for me a bonus for when she gave all the details in Spanish she then explained it to me in English. It was great. I knew the Camino was a combination of Camino and Spanish lessons, so when Cristina explained to me the things that I did not understand it was an added extra. And she had such a lot of local knowledge too. She was very kind to EVA , who struggled for two days with very sore blisters.
Ramon our driver, chef, helper, teacher was great also. And the picnic lunches were delicious. I really did think that a picnic lunch would consist of a sandwich, some fruit and a drink. So what a surprise we had each day, fantastic lunches with the food and the produce of Galicia. And I must not forget the wine, we drank copious amounts every day and some water too of course!
The accommodation each night was exellent. Each place different in lovely rural settings. The one thing they all had in common was friendly atmosphere, lovely rooms, lot and lots of hot water and wonderful dinners. I must be the only person to walk over 100K and still manage to put on a couple of pounds of weight. Such were our meals.
One day Cristina and I even enjoyed a lovely drink of Guinness, what bliss.
So again this is a note to say that I enjoyed myself immensely.
Christina and Ramon took about 3 million photos, do let me know when you are going to sit down and view them. I would like to see some of them even if we look the worse for wear.
Regards
